Des Moines Area Community College is Hiring an Engagement coordinator Near Des Moines, IA

Job Summary

Coordinate the district-wide planning, development, and implementation of a variety of college programs, interventions, and events designed to increase connections with students and student success.

Using Guided Pathways as a framework, provide leadership in the development and maintenance of a case management model for academic advising in the DMACC district.

Develop and conduct training sessions for professional staff and faculty on best practices in the use of CRM Advise. Provide training for new Enrollment Services & Student Success staff as part of their onboarding to the college, as well as ongoing college-wide training on software solutions and student success innovations.

Essential Functions

Coordinate the district-wide planning, development, and implementation of a variety of college programs, interventions, and events designed to increase student engagement and student success.

Develop measurable retention strategies and action plans for key student cohorts. Use delivered reports and dashboards from CRM Advise to inform ongoing changes to institutional student success strategies that support and improve student outcomes.

Ensures students’ progression toward their educational goals are monitored and that advising staff utilize various strategies / tools to address academic persistence, engagement and completion.

Supervise a team of student affairs staff who use CRM Advise to conduct proactive and reactive student outreach.

In conjunction with the CRM Administrator, develop alerts and indicators within Ellucian CRM Advise, and monitor the alert rules and communication plans for appropriate populations.

Track, in real time, activities across the district related to overall retention and student success strategies. Share findings and proposed solutions to stakeholders across the college.

Assist the CRM Administrator with workflow issues within CRM Advise. Use the basic and advanced functions of CRM Advise to develop advanced technological solutions in support of college initiatives.

These solutions include, but are not limited to, use of standard workflows, advanced finds or queries, reports, forms, engagements, surveys, campaigns, and events.

Using Guided Pathways as a framework, provide leadership in the development and maintenance of a case management model for academic advising in the DMACC district.

Work collaboratively with faculty, instructional administrators and other student services to ensure success of the college’s proactive, guided pathways advising model and the delivery of advising to students.

In collaboration with faculty and student services staff, develop long and short-term student success initiatives that empower students to reach identified learning outcomes.

Develop and conduct training sessions for professional staff and faculty on best practices in the use of CRM Advise. Provide training for new Enrollment Services & Student Success staff as part of their onboarding to the college.

Perform other duties as assigned.
