Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant/Assistant Office Manager with a background in marketing, including experience in print marketing, to support our accounting, administrative, and marketing functions. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting skills, proficiency in Excel, organizational abilities, and a creative touch for supporting both digital and print marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a proactive multitasker who can manage various accounting tasks, assist with office operations, and contribute to marketing activities to enhance our brand’s visibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounting Support:
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
  • Generate financial reports as needed.
  • Excel & Data Management:
  • Utilize Excel for financial reporting, budget tracking, and data analysis.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets, including formulas, pivot tables, and charts, to streamline accounting and reporting functions.
  • Ensure accuracy of data entry and update financial records regularly.
  • Office Management:
  • Assist with organizing and managing office operations and procedures.
  • Oversee inventory and order office supplies as needed.
  • Coordinate communication between departments, vendors, and clients.
  • Manage filing systems and maintain a clean, organized office environment.
  • Marketing Support (Digital & Print):
  • Assist in creating and scheduling social media posts and email campaigns.
  • Help maintain and update company website content as needed.
  • Support print marketing efforts, such as coordinating production and distribution of brochures, flyers, and other promotional materials.
  • Organize promotional materials and maintain customer contact lists.
  • Gather data and assist with basic analysis of marketing campaigns to measure their effectiveness.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Provide general administrative support, including answering phones, responding to emails, and scheduling appointments.
  • Help prepare for meetings by organizing agendas and materials.
  • Support HR and payroll activities as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Accounting Background: Basic to intermediate knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excel Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including familiarity with formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Marketing Knowledge: Basic understanding of marketing concepts, including print and digital marketing.
  • Organizational Skills: High attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with team members and external contacts.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Resourceful and proactive in finding solutions to improve office and marketing efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with accounting software
  • Experience with marketing tools (e.g., social media platforms, email marketing software, and print marketing coordination).
  • Prior experience in an office management or administrative support role.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Work Hours

  • This is a part-time position, with an expected commitment of [15-20 hours per week].
