OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION
The Spokane-based Communications Apprentice role at DH offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the business, grow your career, and contribute to a variety of client accounts and DH initiatives. You'll support communications and marketing strategies and tactics for clients ranging from public health outreach to corporate communications. Working closely with DH teams and community partners, you’ll engage in activities aimed at making an impact within underserved communities across our state and beyond. In Spokane, this includes a specific collaboration with a community partner serving communities of color.
As an apprentice, you'll assist with account activities including writing, editing, research, and vendor coordination, ensuring exceptional client/customer service. Given the diverse range of audiences and communities we support, an awareness of social justice and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) dynamics is crucial. Join our dynamic apprenticeship program and immerse yourself in the industry with a 25-40 hour per week commitment over six months, setting a strong foundation for your career success. Lived cultural experiences are highly valued for the social impact work we do. A basic understanding of integrated communication and digital strategies and tactics is essential, and a positive attitude will be your key to thriving in this role.
