We are looking for a skilled Maintenance technician or someone with carpenter experience, those with asphalt and concrete work will move to the top of the responses. Initial responsibilities will be to perform rental home maintenance and renovations such as framing, windows, flooring, drywall, fixture installation ,basic plumbing and electrical, carpentry, roofing, and finish work. In addition to unit renovations, other duties include common area maintenance, landscaping, and general work orders. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and common area facilities while ensuring facilities are tidy and functional. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina. Candidates must own their own hand tools and reliable transportation.

Work is primarily at our properties in the Everett area however there are additional locations with occasional work orders in Bellingham & Sequim.

Candidates that have a desire for promotion and have the experience to take on these roles are desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.
• All residential constructions skills will be used at one point or another
• Install appliances and equipment
• Do common area yard upkeep by mowing lawns and maintaining trees
• Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light fixtures, receptacles, plumbing repairs.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)
• Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
• heavy equipment experience a plus
• Report to a facilities or maintenance manager for issues

Skills

• Proven experience as Carpenter or other similar position
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
• Experience using hand and electrical tools
• general carpentry and finish work
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical stamina and dexterity

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
