Destiny Church of Sacramento is looking for their new Youth Pastor!

The perfect candidate will possess an undergraduate degree in ministry, theology, or Bible from an accredited university. They will have had prior experience with youth. They will be Christ-focused, gospel-centered, and people-oriented It is necessary for this person to meet the qualifications for a pastor found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-10.

It is important for this person to be faithful, available, and trainable. This position will require flexibility and humility. Destiny Church is an Assemblies of God, multi-generational, and multi-ethnic Christian Church that stems from the Pentecostal Movement.

God has been faithful in providing us with people to help, places to meet, and a passion to impact our local community for the Kingdom. The ministries have been planted, the people are in place, and now we are looking for a man/woman of God to help us grow these ministries. We are made up of very loving, kind, and welcoming believers. We are family-oriented. We exist to fulfill The Great Commission by Exalting Christ, Evangelizing the World, and Equipping Believers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create, maintain, and enhance the Youth spaces
• Provide leadership, care, and oversight to volunteers
• Recruit, screen, and train volunteers
• Oversee weekend services for 9th - 12th Grade
• Participates and promotes campus special events and programs
• Serve in a shepherding role to families, specifically High School families
• Encourage and equip parents in their role as spiritual leaders over their children
• Oversee ordering of supplies and purchasing items pertaining to their ministr
• Manage data entry as it relates to attendance
• Oversee individual ministry budget
• Support mission, vision, and values of Destiny Church

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor towards co-workers, vendors, and guests
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of Destiny Church
• Performs other duties as assigned

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Build and develop quality teams for the location utilizing volunteers

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Effective communicator with congregants, staff and lay leadership
• Experience taking the initiative, solving problems, and leading others
• Strong organizational skills, computer skills and ability to work through and alongside others to accomplish goals
• This person should possess a passion for youth and families
• A gift of leadership

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

• Models Christian character at work, home, and social life
• Possess a developed Christian maturity
• Agreement of Assemblies of God Statement of Faith
• Understanding of the Constitution and ByLaws of Destiny Church
• Willingness to serve in and/or outside the church
