We are looking for a responsible and organized Dispatch Coordinator to join our team and contribute to our mission of supporting our community's most vulnerable members.

Job Summary: The Dispatch Coordinator will manage the daily operations of our transport services, ensuring efficient scheduling and deployment of vehicles and drivers. This role requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deep commitment to safety and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Additionally, the Dispatch Coordinator will lead a team of administrative staff, overseeing their daily activities and enhancing office operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and monitor daily transportation schedules.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, social workers, administrative staff, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
• Handle incoming calls and communications related to transportation requests and adjustments.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch logs, transportation schedules, and driver compliance documents.
• Utilize dispatch software to track vehicle locations and manage route efficiency.
• Respond to emergencies and unexpected situations by adjusting dispatch plans as needed.
• Train, supervise, and provide ongoing support to both dispatch and administrative team members.
• Manage the team of administrative staff, ensuring effective support and coordination within the office.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in logistics or transportation management is a plus.
• Proven experience in dispatch, transportation, or a similar role, preferably within a DCFS or similar environment.
• Experience in supervising or managing staff, with strong leadership skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in dispatch software and GPS tracking systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
