Job Summary

Perform any combination of cleaning duties to maintain private club in a clean and orderly manner.

Job Tasks/Duties

• Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
• Carry linens, towels, toilet items, cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts.
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met.
• Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
• Sweep, scrub, mop floors, using brooms and mops.
• Replenish supplies, such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies and bathroom items.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaners and spotters.
• Clean windows, walls, and woodwork.
• Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
• Disinfect equipment supplies.
• Observed precautions required to protect Club and guest property and report damage, theft and found articles to appropriate management.
• Sort and shake dirty linens.
• Sort and count clean linens and store in appropriate storage areas.
• Sort uniforms and other items and store in appropriate storage areas.
• Assign duties to other staff and give instructions regarding work methods and routines.
• Move and arrange furniture and turn mattresses.
• Answer radios and/or telephone calls.
• Replace light bulbs.
• Deliver ironing boards, pack-n-plays, rollaway beds, member requests, to guests’ rooms.
• Polish silver/brass accessories and metalwork, such and fixtures and fittings.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support the part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without “giving out” or fatiguing.
• The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
• The ability to see details at close range.
• The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
• The ability to exert yourself physically over long periods of time without getting winded or out of breath.

Education and/or Experience

Little or no previous work-related skills, knowledge, or experience is needed.
