Detroit Chassis LLC is Hiring an Accountant Near Detroit, MI
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
- Process and reconcile accounts receivable and issue invoices
- Process accounts payable and perform monthly AP accruals
- Process payroll journal entries and 401k payments
- Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
- Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry
- Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
- Maintain accounting documents and records
- Paying vendors by scheduling pay checks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit
- Responding to vendor enquiries regarding finance
- Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
- General Ledger tasks
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
- Assist assistant controller in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
- Assist with other accounting projects
- Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
- QAD Experience Preferred
- Proven accounting experience and basic Accounting Knowledge
- Competency in Microsoft Office required – including Excel experience, databases and accounting software
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
