Job Summary

The Inside Sales Specialist will support the daily receiving, shipment, and invoicing of all engines and Value-add processes for the assigned DEUTZ Power Centers. This individual will order all forecasted engines for sale to cover their designated DEUTZ Power Centers. The Inside Sales Specialist will liaise with other Inside Sales Specialists, DPC, and DPA to ensure the timely delivery of engine packages to customers. The ideal candidate must be customer service driven and have strong knowledge of diesel engines, transportation logistics, and shipping.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Inside Sales Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

  • Support the daily shipment, receiving and sales of engines for the assigned DPC’s.

  • Order and track all engines that have been forecasted for sale.

  • Assist in resolving customer related issues in a timely matter.

  • Receive and process all customer orders and enquiries for new engine sales.

  • Assist District Sales Managers with data input for Jira and CRM.

  • Work with Branch Managers to oversee engine inventories for the assigned DPC’s.

  • Create, track, and maintain all Bill of Ladings for engine shipments.

  • Generate and respond to customer quote requests.

  • Work with service departments to schedule value add builds.

  • Order, track and remove from inventory parts for Value-Add projects at assigned DPC’s.

  • Coordinate logistic requirements with DEUTZ Norcross.

  • Order, track and receive all value-add parts orders.

  • Complete the process to relieve the inventory after the parts are consumed.

  • Stock and stage value add modification kits for engine builds.

  • Process receiving documents and prepare Bill of Lading / Airway Billing.

  • Prepare required paperwork and computer entries within SAP guidelines.

  • Communicate with Key stakeholders and customers any delivery schedule changes.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Travel Demands: Anticipated domestic and international travel is approximately 0-10% depending on business needs.

Description

Bachelors/Associate degree in a relevant field of study and/or at least five years of related experience.

Strong working knowledge of diesel engines, transportation logistics and shipping.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must possess a valid driver’s license, be insurable by the company and can operate a company vehicle in accordance with all state and federal laws, company policies, and guidelines.

Must be able to carry out job description with minimum supervision.

Must be customer focused and have experience working with internal and external customers

Excellent communication skill (writing, speaking in person and over the phone)

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (office, excel, power point)

Prior experience working in a service base operation focused on the off highway heavy-duty industrial market preferred

Working knowledge of SAP preferred

LANGUAGE ABILITY:

Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

MATHEMATICAL ABILITY:

Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Compute rate, ratio and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Office/Workshop/Warehouse environment - working with and around equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts to lift and move heavy items.

  • Workshop environment- working around chemicals such as solvents, oils, sealants, and paint and noise such as running engines, compressed air, air tools, and other equipment and withstand fluctuations in temperature.
