- Qualifications and Skills:
- 3 years' experience in commercial general construction estimating
- Able to read architectural, structural, civil, and MEP plans and develop detailed cost estimates
- Strong understanding of commercial construction processes
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
- Impeccable problem-solving skills
- Must be able to use estimating and takeoff software
- Estimating: 3 years (Required)
- Commercial Construction: 5 years (Preferred)
- Review and evaluate cost estimates and material price sheets
- Communicate with subcontractors/vendors and team members regarding new and current projects
- Assist in preparing schedule of values and purchase orders in detail
- Ensure timely completion of estimates
- Perform takeoffs for self performed work and review project data for accuracy
- Fully understand scope of work to bid
- Manage bid pricing from all vendors
- Prepare cost analysis
- Establish and maintain working relationships with team members, vendors, and subcontractors
