Analyzes and records accounting transactions related to downstream marketing functions. Collaborates with Marketing, Revenue Accounting, and multiple internal and external counterparties.
EDUCATIONBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Accounting preferred
Experience3 years of related industry experience in accounting; oil and gas industry experience preferred
Job Responsibilities
- Continue to develop an understanding of the principles, theories, and concepts of accounting and apply them to assignments such as preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis of financial data
- Continue to develop an understanding of the downstream marketing environment and demonstrate initiative in seeking additional responsibility and gaining knowledge beyond core responsibilities – striving to understand the “big picture”
- May assist in developing and promoting sound recommendations that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the department
- Other duties as assigned
- SAP/Allegro/Horizon experience preferred
- Basic Microsoft 365 skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Able to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks and manage deadlines
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong analytical and evaluation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Oil and Gas Industry Experience Preferred
- Practice safe work habits at all times
- Demonstrate commitment to Devon Attributes
