Dewberry is currently seeking a Part-Time Senior Program Manager for the aviation market sector. The position will be based in Parsippany, NJ office with management and oversight of the New Jersey Engineering business unit and a focus on the aviation assets of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ). This is a senior level position with business development and project management responsibility within the Northeast geographic area. This is a part-time, as-needed position with the potential for full-time as the market develops.

Candidates should have at least 20 years of experience in the fields of engineering, environmental, project management and construction for major aviation infrastructure projects Candidates should have a BS in Engineering or Architecture should demonstrate knowledge of and ability to adapt to all project delivery methods and industry trends including design-bid-build, design-build, progressive design-build, public-private-partnerships, and construction management at risk. Business development with emphasis on targeted growth and geographic expansion are key deliverables for this position.

Guide Dewberry staff through the aviation sector including the language and the culture.
• Develop a plan to pursue opportunities at EWR including Terminal B environmental, traffic, water resources, and engineering work, including expected program planning, EIS, early action project, and other work.
• Introduce our team to other third-party contracting entities such as the airlines, operators, etc.
• Navigate our relationships with PANYNJ staff in Aviation, Procurement, Engineering, etc.
• Introduce Dewberry leadership to industry organizations and trade shows, participate in these organizations with Dewberry staff, and follow up with contacts and opportunities identified at these events with Dewberry staff.
• Advise on how Dewberry can penetrate airports such as JFK, LGA, TEB, ACY, SWF, and others outside the PANYNJ.
• As work is won and projects materialize support the project management and execution of these projects.

• B.S. degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Management
• Minimum 20 years of experience in the Aviation industry with an emphasis on major capital projects.
• Knowledge of Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build methods of project delivery.
• Knowledge of current PANYNJ and FAA technical project requirements and policies as well as procurement practices related to design and construction projects.
• Accomplished technical professional and proven leadership skills are required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership qualities and ability to coach and mentor subordinates and other staff.
• Strong client retention and business development skills are required.
