Dewhirst, Dolven & Parker LLC is a regional civil litigation insurance defense law firm with clients in Colorado, Utah, Texas, Nebraska and Wyoming. We strive to understand our client's business interests to assist them in obtaining solutions through the legal process. We are currently seeking an associate attorney to add to our Utah team.

This position is for an attorney who is able and willing to learn how to handle civil litigation and wants to grow with the company. The successful candidate will be familiar with Utah civil procedure and law. A high level of integrity is a must as well as a willingness to work with a team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and participate in legal hearings, depositions, and trial
• Prepare legal briefs and other writing
• Motion practice and oral argument
• Prepare and participate in mediation, arbitration and settlement negotiations.

Qualifications:

• Civil litigation preferred
• Licensed in Utah required
• Insurance defense experience preferred
• Strong research, writing, analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong internet as this position is largely remote.
• Attorneys with licenses in Colorado, Texas, Arizona and Wyoming a plus!

Salary is based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
