Dexian is Hiring a Corporate Controller Near Morrisville, NC
Dexian of NC, Accounting & Finance is working with a client hiring a Controller role for their organization. The Controller is responsible for assisting the CFO with the company financial processes and accounting operations of the company. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: preparing financial statements and schedules in accordance with regulatory and accounting guidelines; managing the A/P and A/R specialists; identifying and preventing discrepancies; helping set up and monitor control systems; maintaining current working knowledge of accounting principles; ability to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively; ensuring accurate financial reporting and control. This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Duties:
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with IFRS and official guidelines and requirements Manage state tax and regulatory filings
- Assist in the formulation and enforcement of internal controls and policies to comply with SOX and established best practices
- Manage journal entries and reconcile/supervise the reconciliation of accounts for month‐end and year‐ end close
- Provide supporting documentation for the annual audit and quarterly reviews
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Assist in the development of reports for management or regulatory organizations
- Utilize accounting system (SAP) to facilitate processes and maintain records
- Maintain/monitor standard costing and variances Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervise Accounts Receivable Specialist, Accounts Receivable Specialist and Staff Accountant and Senior Accountant
- Plan, delegate/assign and direct work
- Interview, hire, train and discipline employees
- Conduct meetings with employees to establish personal goals, provide feedback and mentoring, assess progress, and resolve issues as needed
- Conduct quarterly reviews with employees to update progress on annual goals and provide feedback
- Document and deliver annual performance appraisals
- Recommend performance awards and/or merit increases when appropriate
- Address performance problems through corrective action and dismissal, as necessary, including documenting performance issues and performance improvement plans
- Develop, document and update department policies and procedures as needed
Requirements:
-CPA
-10 years of experience
-Exposure to IFRS and GAAP
-Strong Management
-Process Improvement minded
-Willingness to be on site with some flex on scheduling
-Stable work history
-ERP system expertise, managed systems updates and upgrades
-Strong Excel
-Industries: Tech, healthcare, MFG, Pharma, Non profit (no banking)
