Dexian is Hiring a Data Analyst Near Phoenix, AZ

This team’s purpose is developing predictive models for regulatory concerns. This position does analytics on the outcome of what the model presents and how the business uses it. Could do analysis on the business process. Answer questions like "why," "to what degree," and "what opportunities exist?"

Someone with a statistics background is a better fit than not. Should be able to put together a deck and walk others through it. Needs to be someone who’s engaged, knows the business perspective, able to surface insights.

Spots on this team of for thinkers willing to contribute outside of the box, not for someone looking to focus on their inbox and answering tickets or throwing work at the wall for others to review.

ETL referred to in the job description is platform agnostic. Needs to know the mechanics of ETL, but the actual coding in SAS as the primary platform is where the data loading is really happening.

PROJECT SCOPE

- Collect appropriate data for analysis by connecting to various data sources and platforms, combining structured and non-structured data

- Compile and organize datasets to enable analytics, report building and ‘story telling’ of customer experience through the complaint handling processes

- Develop hypotheses regarding trends and drivers of customer feedback; execute analytical process to support/disprove and organize output into a concise and effective presentation narrative with appropriate detail and visualizations

- Lead analytical projects with solid organization and clear communication of objectives, tasks/path deliverables and timelines

- Demonstrate exceptional quality and attention to detail in building and documenting data and analytics processes and execution of rigorous validation process to ensure high levels of confidence in findings and extrapolations.

TOP SKILLS/ SOFT SKILLS

- 4 years of SAS - ability to understand code, write new code, create/ work with predictive models (no development)

- 6 years of SQL (Teradata / SQLServer)

- Experience with ETL/ELT and data engineering tasks across multiple data sources

- Experience optimizing SQL queries or optimizing dashboards for queries and reporting

- Experience in gathering, analyzing and interpreting large datasets

- Experience building PowerPoint presentations for senior management

- Python expertise is a plus
