The Opportunity We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced legal professional to join our close-knit and high performing Legal team on a permanent basis, reporting into our General Manager, Legal. As a Senior Legal Counsel, you’ll be responsible for providing legal advice and review for a range of matters across Dexus’ Infrastructure business unit in order to assist the business in achieving their high return targets. As Senior Legal Counsel, your responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assisting in acquisitions and divestment of infrastructure assets on behalf of funds and separately managed account clients Advising on ongoing contractual arrangements relating to existing assets Advising infrastructure funds on fund-level queries Partnering with and instructing external law firms re: disputes and litigation matters About You We are on the lookout for an experienced legal professional with circa 5-10 years’ post-qualified experience in a major law firm and/or in a comparable in-house role, as a Senior Associate or Senior Legal Counsel. Over the course of your career, you will have gained significant exposure and skill set across M&A and/or PE, as well as to ancillary legal areas as they relate to infrastructure and funds management. Partnered with excellent communication skills, you will be equipped with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills and a capability to remain agile and adapt to changing environments. Success in this role can be achieved through effective stakeholder engagement, an action orientated approach, and the ability to drive results autonomously, as well as within a team.
