Drapery Installer and In-House technician. WILLING TO TRAIN THE RIGHT CANIDATE. Job requires a vehicle to transport ladders, tools and merchandise from workroom to clients homes where installation take place. We work primarily in residential homes. Ability to communicate directly with customers is a must.

Basic duties include: unpacking and checking hardware orders; loading up merchandise per job, greeting clients and designers, setting up for installation in clients home; setting up ladders, knowledge and ability to use basic power tools to hang drapery hardware, hanging roman shades, precise measuring, steaming, and training out drapery for a finished look. Mounting Roman shades in the workroom.

Schedule varies per week. 20 hour minimum

Responsibilities:

• Keep track of install calendar
• pick up and load jobs from workroom, transport to client home
• Greet clients and designers. Unload merchandise, ladders, and tools into client home.
• Install window treatments, shades and drapery per work order.
• Pin, hang, steam and train drapery. Install shades and hard goods.
• Keeps clients home clean and tidy during and after installation
• Workroom Technician - cut boards and cover with fabric, mount roman shades, install customized lift mechanisms - will train

Qualifications:

• Must have vehicle to transport ladders, tools and merchandise to jobsite - Company will cover gas mileage
• Ability to use basic power tools: Ladders, drill, circular saw, miter saw, etc.
• This is a physical position, must be able to lift heavy objects, carry materials, bend kneel lift etc
• Ability to climb stairs while carrying
• Comfortable with numbers, precise measuring and relaying dimensions.
• Familiarity with construction a plus
