Description

Position Summary: Responsible for providing comprehensive technical support for all essential technology within organization, with a primary focus on audiovisual equipment, PC’s and related peripherals. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving hardware/software issues, network problems, audio/visual issues, telecommunications, and home automation. Additionally, the specialist will assist in maintaining and upgrading equipment across multiple locations to ensure optimal performance. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Partner with IT Director and team members to meet objectives and providing technical support.
  • Plan and implement special projects assigned by the IT Director.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including hardware/software problems, network problems, audio/visual issues, telecommunication, and home automation.
  • Evaluate new technology and recommend integration with existing systems to improve processes.
  • Install and maintain networked personal computers, servers, AV equipment, associated peripheral equipment.
  • Ensure proper set-up, maintenance and upgrades of operating systems and application software.
  • Provide support, monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting hardware/software problems.
  • Respond to technical support requests and ensure a timely resolution of issues.
  • Perform multimedia tasks as required.
  • Follow schedules as required and maintain consistency of daily, weekly, and monthly activities making recommendations for processes improvements.
  • Maintain flexibility for on-call duties, occasional weekend work and travel is required.
  • Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations.

Qualifications


Essential skills and experience:

  • High School diploma required: Some college/degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; positive attitude
  • Prior experience in customer service, audiovisual systems, advance communications, and technical problem solving.
  • Proficiency in A/V and networking, wiring, infrastructure, and the support of those systems
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Office, telecommunications, networking.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, challenging environment with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload independently.
  • Excellent knowledge of general office procedures.
  • Strong time management skills: ability to complete multiple projects.
  • Attention to detail, honesty, adaptability, dependability, and a willingness to preform hands-on work.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.\

Valued but not required skills and experience:

  • Experience in private estate/hotel/ hospitality/museum setting.
  • Industry-specific certification(s) preferred.

  • Physical demands:Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, bending, and working in tight spaces. Close vision demands due to continual desktop computer work requirements.
