DFW Airport is Hiring a Telecommunications Analyst Near Fort Worth, TX

Qualifications

Job Overview:

Under supervision of the Sr IT Telecommunications Manager, provides technical expertise to ensure that telecommunications and network facilities are sufficient, appropriate, and functioning well. Ensures that data, voice, and voicemail systems perform at optimum and cost-effective levels.

What you will be doing:

  • Determines causes of systems malfunctions and directs or performs corrective actions.
  • Monitors, logs, tracks, and resolves hardware and software deficiencies, notes failure patterns and tendencies; recommends preventive action.
  • Advises Board departments of potential disruptions in service that may affect voice mail and telephone services.
  • Reviews requests for service, evaluates whether requested services fall within guidelines and ensures hardware and software availability and compatibility.
  • Maintains professional proficiency in the latest technologies and state of the art in voice and data communications.
  • Identifies and acquires appropriate test equipment and spare parts inventory for network support.
  • Maintains ongoing contact with telecommunications users to ensure problems are resolved.

What you need:

  • Bachelor's degree in electronics, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience working with digital network systems.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
  • Possession of a valid class C driver's license.

What we desire:

  • Knowledge of the theory, principles, practices, and techniques of operating and maintaining telecommunications systems and equipment.
  • Knowledge of advanced radio-communication technology, fiber optic transmission technology and digital telephone transmission and switching.
  • Experience with DMS-100 telephone switching equipment.
  • Experience with Octel 250 Voice Mail System.
