Manager, Provider Success

 Premier Management Company (PMC) is a top tier senior lives Managed Services Organization with a closely aligned employed and independent physician base. PMC is the management arm of a larger group of healthcare service companies spanning from technology provisioning to clinical delivery (www.premiermgmtco.com). Launched in 2013, PMC’s ACO is already recognized as a top ten performer with great success in Medicare quality of care and shared savings. The company has recently entered Medicare Advantage (MA) in partnership with multiple large payors to serve the growing needs of MA members in the Dallas area.

PMC is looking to welcome a Manager, Provider Success to lead our group of Provider Business Executives. This critical team is the primary channel through which we manage the network and deliver results. The ideal candidate will bring experience and structure that elevate performance of both the team and the providers to the next level. This position will report to the Vice President of Operations and will also have direct access to executive leadership as a valued member of our management team. The Manager is expected to build and sustain strong working relationships with cross-functional departments, health plan partners, and assigned providers. S/he will be accountable for overall performance and profitability for their assigned groups, ownership and oversight to provide redirection as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of value-based care practice/provider liaisons who operate with defined provider practice assignments.
  • Recruit, train, oversee, and manage team to a high standard of performance, ownership, and independence. Cultivate a positive, high trust, and results-oriented team culture.
  • Administer customer relations management tool (CRM) to track and report tasks, issues, and contact with provider accounts.
  • Responsible for creating content and leading monthly provider meeting.
  • Facilitate provider education and create helpful tools to meet quality, risk adjustment, growth, and total medical cost goals. Conduct orientations and distribute information on healthcare delivery products, health plan partnerships, processes, and compensation arrangements.
  • Create staff and provider training materials for best practice sharing and replication.
  • Support strategic growth goals by providing streamlined onboarding to new providers.
  • Design team account assignments for best efficiency and service continuity.
  • Develop and drive successful network management plan that maximizes performance to achieve company goals.
  • Support practices in strategies for cost reduction, revenue improvement, and quality performance. Escalate practices not meeting expectations to manager when appropriate.
  • Owner of provider network retention and satisfaction strategy
  • Increase provider participation and interest in transitioning to value-based care. Aid providers in transitioning operationally and conceptually along the continuum.
  • Foster open communication with the network and continually innovate information delivery pathways and reporting.
  • Model high quality business documentation and strong organizational skills. Present professional and focused content.
  • Identify at risk situations and develop a plan for escalation and corrective action.
  • Maintain and share market intelligence to ensure competitive offerings.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 years of provider relations or managed care experience
  • 3 years of management experience
  • Ability to travel up to 60% to provider practices
  • In-depth knowledge of MSSP and Medicare Advantage programs
  • Demonstrated experience with making presentations to both small and large groups
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with effective follow through
  • Ability to occasionally work early morning, evenings, and weekends based on business needs
  • At least intermediate proficiency with MS Suite (including Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Excel, and Word)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree; Master’s Degree
  • Established knowledge of local provider community
