D.H. Griffin Wrecking Co., Inc., is one of the leading demolition specialists in the country. Our Savannah Division has an opening for an experienced Estimator.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Effectively build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors.
- Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits (some travel may be required) to familiarize yourself with the job site conditions and scope.
- Review and comprehend project specifications and drawings.
- Perform detailed takeoffs.
- Identify approach, labor, equipment, materials, and time requirements for each specific project.
- Compute cost by analyzing labor, equipment, materials, and time requirements for each specific project.
- Prepare and submit detailed proposals.
- Lead estimate turnover on successful bids.
- Maintain and price change orders.
- Accumulate, evaluate, and document historical cost data.
- Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks by following standards set forth by OSHA and DHG’s EHS Program.
- Contributes to team effort by performing and accomplishing related tasks as needed
- Experience working in HCSS, Primavera and Excel.
Qualifications:
· Include at least 2 years of experience
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Construction Management or Construction Engineering.
· Time management and organizational skills.
· Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
