POSITION SUMMARY:

The Learning and Communications (L&C) Manager is responsible for designing and implementing learning strategies, managing training programs, developing employees’ skills and knowledge, and managing internal Information Services communications. The L&C Manager for the Information Services Department facilitates and delivers program content to ensure a consistent impactful learning experience for participants. This role involves collaborating with key stakeholders, analyzing program outcomes, and providing coaching and support for successful learning outcomes. The L&C Manager is responsible for delivering training solutions, developing talent, and implementing organizational learning and development initiatives. The L&C Manager develops and executes learning strategies, designs, and delivers training programs, assesses development needs, and tracks learning effectiveness. They collaborate with employees and managers to support career development and manage budgets and vendor relationships.

POSITION EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, psychology, or a related field.
  • Professional certification, e.g. CPLP, preferred.
  • Requires good verbal and written communication skills.

JOB KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE :

  • 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in designing, implementing, facilitating, or managing adult learning programs in both virtual and face-to-face formats.
  • Must be proficient in using video, graphics, and multimedia software.
  • Experience with e-learning platforms and practices.
  • Must be proficient in using project management software and in the use of personal computer software for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Knowledge of current learning theory, methods, and concepts, with the ability to transform these into tangible designs with measurable results.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)

POSITION RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Promotes the facility mission, vision and values by effectively communicating them to others. Considers mission, vision and values in developing services, standards and practice.
  • Developing and implementing learning strategies and programs
  • Deliver formal and informal learning solutions to engage learners and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Manage and respond to learner needs, ensuring timely and effective delivery of learning through appropriate platforms.
  • Facilitate team-building sessions, and similar activities.
  • Designing e-learning courses, workshops and more Coordinate various learning activities by leveraging resources within the Information Services Department and across the organization.
  • Collaborate with the departmental leadership and program managers on designing leadership curriculum and programs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of communication plans for system and departmental initiatives.
  • Partner with other content areas to implement programs, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders and internal/external customers to understand business requirements.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate best practices into strategies, processes, and programs.
  • Review and improve integration between different processes to enhance delivery.
  • Analyze feedback, data reports, and metrics to improve program effectiveness.
  • Maintaining budgets and relationships with vendors and consultants
  • Creating and maintain internal Information Services communications.
  • Responsible for the upkeep and improvements of the Information Services intranet site.
  • The position requires regular engagement with internal stakeholders, including Program Leads, Managers, Education Development & Culture Team, and other Learning Specialists.
  • The role involves both virtual and face-to-face interaction with learners and stakeholders.
  • The L&D Manager must be proactive in staying updated with industry trends and incorporating them into the learning strategies.
  • Will require domestic travel.
  • Other duties as assigned.
