Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Diagnostic Outpatient Imaging specializes on imaging exams to help our community and their families. DOI performs imaging such as CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, Bone Density, and X-Ray. Our best interest is for our patients to feel welcome and at ease as soon as they walk into any of our three locations in town.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Meet and greet all patients, physicians, their staff and visitors, by proving the best patient care to all in person and over the phone in an ethical and professional manner. Conducting patients interviews for registrations process at front desk or to schedule patients over the phone. Ensuring that patient's records and exams information are accurate and up to date.

Overall, DOI's mission is to earn the loyalty of the people we serve by providing care with integrity, professionalism and high-quality patient care.

Front Desk Essential Functions:

  1. Meet and greet patients and visitors in person and over the phone.
  2. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  3. Ability to pay attention to detail and multitask.
  4. Ability to show initiative.
  5. Responsible and have availability on a different shift schedule to open and close the facility.
  6. Stable work history.
  7. Demonstrates excellent ethics and professionalism in communication.
  8.  Communicate with the Physicians, medical offices, patients and family insurance companies.
  9. Performs related general office/clerical support duties.
  10.  Monitors patient schedules, work flow, and activities of all modalities to assure smooth and coordinated patient flow. 
  11.  Must have a professional appearance and promote confidence and friendliness towards patients and coworkers.
  12. Ability to work with supervision and be able to follow defined protocol.
  13.  Follow correct techniques and procedures based on DOI's rules and regulations. 
  14. Register patients as they walk for their appointments by obtaining needed documentation. 
  15. Verifying all information provided is accurate and up to date.
  16. Schedules appointments in person or by phone in a compassionate, ethical, professional, and kind manger.
  17. Works well under pressure and capable of multi-tasking a diverse set of responsibilities. Including completing multiple assignments from physicians, office manager, leaders and the handling of daily operations.
  18. Identify and be able solve critically problems as they arise, as well be able to approach leadership to request guidance.
  19. Work through faxed patient forms/orders to schedule in a timely manner. 
  20. Reporting changes needed on patient's appointments.
  21. Contributes to the team with effort and enthusiasm by accomplishing related results.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School diploma or GED.
  2. Must have three years administrative experience in the medical office.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. 
  4. Reliability and flexibility to work different shifts.
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills required, with ability to interact at all levels and be able to get along with diverse personalities.
  6. High degree of confidentiality and ethics needed.
  7. Analytical ability and be detailed oriented, well-organized and be able to handle multiple priorities.
  8. Be able to work under pressure with constant interruptions.
  9. Be able to work independently or with a large group of people.
  10. Have excellent decision-making skills, and possess strong conflict resolution skills.
  11. Knowledge of operation of computers and MS Office software.
