We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Administrator with extensive experience in the heavy civil construction industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage and oversee various administrative aspects of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with a deep understanding of construction processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination : Assist in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Documentation Management : Maintain and organize all project-related documentation, including contracts, permits, plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Compliance Assurance : Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and safety standards.
  • Budget Monitoring : Track project expenses and budgets, and provide regular financial reports to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Subcontractor Management : Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Communication Facilitation : Serve as a liaison between project managers, field personnel, clients, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and resolve issues promptly.
  • Quality Control : Monitor construction activities to ensure quality standards are met and work is performed according to specifications.
  • Issue Resolution : Identify and address any project-related issues or conflicts, working with relevant parties to find effective solutions.
  • Reporting and Documentation : Prepare and submit progress reports, meeting minutes, and other required documentation to keep stakeholders informed of project status.

Qualifications

  • Industry Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction administration, preferably within the heavy civil construction industry.
  • Technical Proficiency : Proficient in construction management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
  • Regulatory Knowledge : Strong understanding of construction regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Budgeting Skills : Experience in budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills : Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Problem-Solving Ability : Demonstrated ability to identify issues, analyze problems, and develop effective solutions in a timely manner.
