Diamond Peak Recruiting is Hiring a Construction Project Manager Near Portland, OR

Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager specializing in ground up multifamily projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of multifamily construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires exceptional leadership, project management skills, and extensive knowledge of multifamily construction processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Project Leadership:

    • Lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of ground up multifamily projects.
    • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Pre-Construction Activities:

    • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors during the pre-construction phase to ensure project feasibility and compliance with design specifications.
    • Conduct site evaluations and coordinate with local authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals.

Construction Management:

  • Site Supervision:

    • Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety standards.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Contractor Coordination:

    • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely and quality execution of work.
    • Review and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices, change orders, and payment applications.

Project Control and Reporting:

  • Budget Management:

    • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
    • Prepare and present regular financial and progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Risk Management:

    • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
    • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.

Client and Stakeholder Communication:

  • Client Relations:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
    • Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business opportunities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including design teams, contractors, and local authorities, to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on ground up multifamily construction.
    • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large-scale multifamily projects on time and within budget.
  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
    • Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED AP) are a plus.
  • Skills:

    • Extensive knowledge of multifamily construction processes, building codes, and regulations.
    • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide project teams.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
    • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
