Position Overview: The General Superintendent will oversee all field operations for our commercial construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires extensive experience in structural concrete work and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities for commercial projects, with a focus on structural concrete work.
  • Develop and maintain construction schedules, ensuring that projects progress according to plan.
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that arise.
  • Lead and mentor on-site construction teams, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Resolve any conflicts or issues that may arise during the construction process promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain detailed daily reports and project documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial construction, with a strong emphasis on structural concrete.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices, particularly in structural concrete.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in construction management software and tools.
  • OSHA certification or similar safety training is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
