- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
- Analyze and plan workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout for maximum efficiency.
- Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.
- Coordinate and implement quality control objectives, activities, or procedures to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, or minimize costs.
- Communicate with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards.
- Estimate production costs, cost-saving methods, and the effects of product design changes on expenditures for management review, action, and control.
- Plan and establish sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilization.
- Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency, using drafting tools and computer.
- Coordinate with customers and suppliers regarding product design, tooling, and processes to ensure efficient production methods.
- Evaluate precision and accuracy of production and testing equipment and engineering drawings to formulate corrective action plan.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
- Proficient with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other manufacturing design tools.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
- Experience in Aerospace Manufacturing is a plus.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial equipment.
- Ability to purchase equipment and make cost-effective decisions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to think critically and creatively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing projects.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
