We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our quality management systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our products meet the required quality standards and customer specifications. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, root cause analysis, and internal audits. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Engineering industry.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions.
- Utilize root cause analysis techniques to troubleshoot quality issues and develop effective solutions.
- Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of quality systems and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and manage Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation.
- Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) to ensure quality is built into product design and manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and efficiency.
- Train and mentor team members on quality systems and best practices.
- Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers on quality-related issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree will be considered an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in the Engineering industry.
- Proven experience with PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, root cause analysis, and internal audits.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficient in using statistical analysis software and tools.
- Certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong commitment to ensuring the highest level of product quality and customer satisfaction.
