Job SummaryAs a Service & Maintenance Apprentice, you are under general supervision performing a variety of general maintenance duties which include but are not limited to electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and construction in the maintenance and repair of C-Stores, pumps, tanks, facilities, and equipment. You will work with other Technicians in the Service Department and report to the Service Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities

• Performs Maintenance/Operation duties within the Company’s policies and procedures
• Completes servicing needs for C-Stores, Corporate Office, and equipment as directed
• Works in a manner to support the Company’s safety, quality, efficiency, and cost metrics
• Performs Preventive Maintenance (PM) of all work-related equipment
• Facilitates necessary repairs to maintain a high state of performance on all equipment
• Performs and/ or assists in the rebuild, replacement, and installation of equipment
• Delivers products to customers and stores.
• Communicates effectively in a professional, tactful, and courteous manner with customers, other employees, and the public.
• Completes inspections and other duties as assigned.

Education, License, & Experience

• Experience in Maintenance of heavy equipment, tanks, pumps, and/or tractors and trailers preferred
• Repairs on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, flooring, and other construction equipment preferred
• Quality Inspections preferred
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Possess the following licenses or acquire within the time frames listed below:
• Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement (as agreed)
• UST license (1 year)
• Dept. of AG Repairman’s License (6 months)
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with others
• Excellent communication and time management skills

Location and Hours:This position is based out of the main warehouse in Kosciusko, MS office, with daily travel to central MS locations and other areas as necessary. The work hours are generally 7am – 5pm, Monday – Friday, with an on-call rotation for holidays and weekends. Out-of-town & overnight travel may be required on occasion.

• Lifts/carries 50 pounds occasionally, pushing/pulling a maximum force of 75 pounds; Safe Lifting criteria, floor to knuckle 50 pounds, shoulder to overhead 30 pounds
• Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles
• Exposure to extreme cold or heat.
• Able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, respond to official inquiries and make entries on reports and records.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages, and decimals.
• Constant state of alertness and ability to perform safely.
