Didlake, Inc. is Hiring a Project Manager - Mailroom Near Washington, DC

The Project Manager is responsible for directing day-to-day operations and implementing programmatic and administrative policies and procedures in order to attain program goals and objectives in accordance with the Statement of Work. This position is responsible for making programmatic and administrative recommendations to the Director of Contract Operations in accordance with Didlake's overall goals and objectives; serves as a primary liaison between Didlake Corporate Office and its GSA clients and staff. The Project Manager also serves as a team leader who is responsible for establishing and maintaining a positive and constructive team spirit among all Didlake/GSA staff members. This position is designed as "key personnel" on this contract.The Project Manager is considered essential personnel with the ability to respond to work in a timely manner as determined by contract needs.

  • Directs and reviews the work of all contractor personnel who process mail each workday to ensure compliance with mail processing standards and operating procedures and the requirements of this contract. The Project Manager shall coordinate with Human Resources concerning matters of discipline with personnel employed under this contract and secure additional resources (personnel, supplies, and attire) as needed to meet the requirements of this contract. This position acts as Corporate Safety Officer and oversees compliance with the QMS program.
  • Recommends to the COTR as appropriate new or proposed revisions to mail processing guidelines and instructions to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Provides on-the-job training in mail processing methods and procedures to newly assigned personnel and develops visual aids as required to promote operational efficiency. Assists with the implementation of consumers' service plans. Completes job performance evaluations and assists with wage determination reviews.
  • Directs data gathering for various productivity reports on the volume of mail processed daily. Completes required reporting including contract and federal compliance documents, reports, and analyses as required.
  • Resolves working-level complaints and/or problems regarding incorrectly sorted USPS and interoffice email, resolving all other operational problems within this contract's scope, and preparing responses within established time frames to all written service complaints received by/from the COTR.
  • Ensures performance of routine maintenance on mailroom equipment. Institutes sorting configurations and system changes to accommodate increased mail volume and GSA organizational changes
  • Ensures adequate personnel are available to accomplish required work and initiates replenishment actions for expendable equipment furnished by the GSA.
  • Develops and implements quality control procedures, monitors the work produced under this contract, and initiates corrective actions to ensure conformance with established standards and procedures.
  • Reviews and implements safety procedures to meet federal and company standards; monitors activities where accidents may occur, halts any operation or activity constituting an imminent hazard to personnel or equipment; and assists in the activities of the safety committee by providing technical and administrative support.
  • Reviews, revises, and maintains project payroll records.
  • Manages project purchasing and inventory. Acts as a good steward of Government Funding and Government Furnished Equipment.
  • Responsible for appropriate conduct and decorum of Didlake staff as dictated by Company policy and GSA requirements.
  • Completes and maintains all Didlake required training.
