A Parts and Inventory Manager is responsible for various functions including, but not limited to:

• Order parts for both shop mechanics and road mechanics
• Source parts from multiple vendors
• Maintain accurate inventory
• Track current parts orders through FedEx and UPS
• File BOLs as they come in
• Manage shop runners
• Manage small tool program
• Order small tools as needed for jobs
• Order job supplies for jobs ranging from silt fence to rigging
• Manage grounds of the facility
• Code invoices to jobs/equipment
• Supervise company radios
• Assist with maintaining company vehicles
• Stock shelf with jobsite consumables
• Setting up FedEx and UPS pickups with palletized shipments
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks with a forklift

Aptitude/Abilities/Skills: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required and
• 3-5 years previous related experience is required
• Construction experience preferred
• Must have strong organizational skills in order to handle the variety of tasks assigned
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public
• Follow written and verbal instructions, including manufacturers’ service specifications
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Occasional overtime maybe necessary during peak times
• Demolition equipment knowledge preferred
• Strong technical knowledge of equipment
• Good knowledge of geographic area
• Good communications skills
• Some travel is required
