Job Title: Registered Nurse, Full-time or Part-time
Non-Exempt Position
Licenses and Certifications:
Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing
RN with active license, no restrictions (licensed in Ohio)
Maintains CPR certification and ACLS
Years of Experience
One (1) year of nursing experience, preferably, in an ambulatory center or procedural environment. On-the-job training with demonstrated willingness to learn. Achieve competence in pre and post care of the patient, assist the physician in the procedure room environment upon completion of the orientation process.
Primary Job Summary
Uses proper techniques and protocols to meet/exceed standards of performance according to center specific policies for safe provision of nursing care
Adheres to patient rights and responsibilities and supports them in performance of job duties
Adheres to rules and regulations for Protected Health Information (PHI) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPPA) protections of patient information.
Obtains and documents patient’s medical history and perform physical assessments
Prepare patients for procedure and perform routine diagnostic checks (monitor vital signs including pulse, blood pressure, respiratory status) attain IV access, provision of medications as ordered
Monitor and record patient’s condition and document care services provided
Promptly responds and assists in treatment of medical emergencies
Observes universal precaution and infection control practices
Ability to safely use medical equipment per manufacturer’s instructions for use
Contributes to the progress and development of the center’s compliance and standards focused on quality metrics and outcomes
Supports the centers mission statement and goals
Adheres to the Nursing Scope of Practice
Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to the Code of Conduct
Skills and Abilities
Proven nursing experience preferred, consider new graduate applications
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrates critical thinking skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently producing effective outcomes and on-time performance
Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team-based work environment
Responds collegially to requests for assistance from members of the healthcare team
