DigiDoc Inc. dba Public Sector Solutions Group (PS2G) is Hiring a Capture Manager and Proposal Writer Near Washington, DC

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Capture Manager and Proposal Writer to join our dynamic Business Development team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing winning proposals for government and commercial clients, as well as strong technical writing and project management skills. This role will be instrumental in driving our company's growth by securing new contracts and expanding our client base.

Key Responsibilities:

Proposal Development and Management:

  • Lead the development and management of comprehensive proposals for government and commercial clients, ensuring alignment with their objectives and requirements.
  • Design and implement customizable proposal templates to streamline the proposal creation process and ensure consistency across all documents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information, develop proposal content, and ensure technical accuracy and compliance.

Technical Writing and Editing:

  • Write clear, concise, and compelling proposal narratives, incorporating technical details and highlighting our company's unique value proposition.
  • Edit, proofread, and format proposal documents to ensure clarity, compliance, and professionalism.
  • Develop and maintain resume templates that effectively showcase the qualifications of proposed personnel.

Project Management:

  • Manage proposal timelines and deadlines, ensuring timely submissions and adherence to the proposal process.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to gather required information and approvals.
  • Monitor and analyze feedback from clients and proposals to continuously improve our approach.

Business Development Support:

  • Conduct research on potential clients and projects to identify new business opportunities.
  • Participate in business development strategy meetings and contribute ideas to enhance proposal effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in proposal writing and business development.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Create and enhance the proposal repository, ensuring that all past proposals, templates, and related documents are organized and easily accessible.
  • Ensure all proposals meet company standards and client expectations, including branding, formatting, and content quality.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in proposal writing, technical writing, or a related field, preferably within the government contracting industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex proposal development projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and proposal management software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Shipley proposal development methodology.
  • Knowledge of government contracting processes and regulations.
  • APMP certification or equivalent preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $43.27 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
