Technical Recruiter

DigiFlight, Inc. (DFI) is a fast growing Government contractor in Columbia, Maryland. We help government and commercial customers accelerate mission success with technology solutions that protect our national security. We are seeking an energetic, goal oriented individual to join our HR team. The Technical Recruiter is responsible for providing recruiting services to DFI. This position primarily delivers cleared IT professionals. This position also advances DFI’s brand across numerous markets and professional communities, while guiding hiring managers and candidates through the selection process. This individual will perform full lifecycle recruiting and maintain excellent relations with hiring managers, candidates, and the community at-large. A wide degree of creativity, near-and long-term recruiting vision, business understanding, and personal organization is required. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responds to and qualifies job orders efficiently through obtaining job assignments from contract contacts and job portals.
  • Confer with senior leadership to identify personnel needs and workforce planning strategies.
  • Place job openings in ADP WorkForce Now and utilize other job boards to post openings as needed.
  • Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements.
  • Provide complete, accurate, and inspiring information to candidates about the company and position.
  • Manages the scheduling and logistics of all interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Manages and coordinates all communication with candidates. Develop and maintain a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified leaders.
  • Prescreens candidates. Create and present prescreening questions to hiring managers for collaboration and approval.
  • Leverage online recruiting resources and in-house ATS to identify and recruit the very best candidates.
  • Manage the use of recruiters and headhunters.
  • Partners with DFI department heads to prepare candidates for interviewing with the client by providing the candidate with detailed information about the contract and job assignment once a client-side interview has been requested.
  • Extends offers of employment to selected candidates under the direction of the hiring managers and within the guidelines of DFI’s compensation ranges per approval from Sr. Leadership
  • Prepares technical resume submissions and job descriptions.
  • Sources, prepares, analyses resumes for proposal efforts.

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • 5 years of full lifecycle recruiting experience and 3 years of industry experience in government contracting and technical /professional services.
  • Experience recruiting technical consultants in areas such as: Cyber, Information Assurance, Systems Engineering, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, Systems Administration, etc. 
  • Experience building strong business relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Experience utilizing Applicant Tracking Systems and proficient with MS office.
  • Demonstrated understanding of employments laws and OFCCP compliance.
  • Ability to work closely with various teams to include: Accounting, Contracts, Security, and Human Resources to understand areas of focus, hiring forecasts, etc. 
  • Experience tracking and analyzing recruiting metrics and possesses the ability to present those metrics to C Level/Program Managers on a weekly basis in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to assist in proposal efforts when necessary 
  • Excellent communication and personal skills

Working Conditions: Primarily in an office environment. Periodic weekend or evening work is expected.
