Job Title: Hardware Manager
Location: 5 Victor Square Scotts Valley, CA 95066
Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Hardware Manager to oversee all aspects of hardware development, production, and maintenance within our organization. The Hardware Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful design, implementation, and optimization of hardware systems to meet the company's objectives.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of hardware engineers and technicians, providing guidance, support, and mentorship throughout all stages of hardware development.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, and quality assurance professionals, to ensure seamless integration of hardware components into end-to-end solutions.
  • Drive the hardware development lifecycle from concept to production, including requirements gathering, design, prototyping, testing, and validation.
  • Establish and maintain robust processes and procedures for hardware design, manufacturing, and testing to ensure quality, reliability, and scalability.
  • Develop and manage budgets, resource allocations, and timelines for hardware projects, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and project milestones.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in hardware design and manufacturing, and incorporate relevant advancements into the company's hardware strategy.
  • Implement and enforce compliance with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and quality assurance requirements applicable to hardware development and production.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs across the hardware development lifecycle.
  • Provide regular progress updates, reports, and presentations to senior management on hardware-related activities, achievements, and challenges.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of at least 10 years of experience in hardware engineering, with demonstrated expertise in designing and developing complex hardware systems.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or management role, with a strong ability to motivate, inspire, and mentor team members.
  • Deep understanding of hardware design principles, methodologies, and tools, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and simulation.
  • Extensive knowledge of hardware components, technologies, and architectures, such as microprocessors, sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces.
  • Proficiency in project management techniques and tools, with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements.
