Position: Program Manager

Location: Columbus, MS (Onsite)

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Program Manager who will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of assigned programs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work directly with internal stakeholders, ensuring program success through meticulous planning, budget oversight, and effective communication. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Coordinate and monitor the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of assigned programs.
  • Work closely with internal customers to provide program status updates, address needs, and resolve issues.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts.
  • Track and monitor labor, material, overhead, and other costs related to programs, ensuring alignment with budgets and profitability goals.
  • Identify and monitor risks and develop effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to master plans and schedules to achieve program milestones and objectives.
  • Prepare program management reviews, progress reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with all employees throughout the organization to foster a cohesive and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience managing commercial and DoD portfolios, including budget oversight and Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management using principles and tools for measuring project and program success within commercial and DoD contract environments.
  • Preferred certifications: PMP, PGMP, or similar project management certifications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities and a focus on customer service.
  • Candidates must be a United States Citizen.
