We are seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer who will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex web applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Ruby on Rails, be adept at problem-solving, and have a passion for creating high-quality code. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby on Rails code.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to a high standard of code quality.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain current and competitive.
Qualifications:
- 6 to 8 years of experience in Ruby on Rails development.
- Strong proficiency in Ruby and familiar with Ruby on Rails 5 .
- Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Familiarity with concepts of MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful APIs.
- Proficient in code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Strong understanding of database management, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
