DIJGTAL is Hiring an UX/UI Designer Near Sydney, FL

The Challenge:

We transform complex business problems into human centred solutions for early stage startups, enterprise ventures, and corporate partners.

You thrive on this stuff!

As part of our tight-knit team you’ll play an integral role in creating experiences that don’t just engage the end user, but completely blow them away.

What you’ll do:

Over the first 6 months you will use your expertise to support a number of initiatives for a client in the online sports betting industry, along with any other client opportunities that may arise. Your goals will be:

Deliver UX/UI designs for new features and/or revise existing modules

  • Work alongside other designers to understand the current state of play
  • Ideate solutions based on identified areas of improvement that consider all data & insights
  • Articulate the user and business value of each piece of work
  • Explore several alternatives in low fidelity and iterate based on peer feedback
  • Translate low fidelity UX designs into seamless, intuitive and engaging UI experiences in Figma
  • Look for opportunities to bring the brand to life through the UI, collaborating with the creative team and other experience designers to ensure your ideas are brand-relevant
  • Produce realistic prototypes to communicate the flows, including transitions, animations and micro-interactions where necessary
  • Document detailed UX logic and flows, and prepare design files for development handover
  • Utilise, expand and contribute to our extensive design system

Integrate UX research and testing in your design approach

  • Conduct desktop research and create survey questionnaires
  • Put your designs through conceptual and/or usability testing to make sure they meet the user’s needs, including organising, observing and facilitating interview sessions
  • Analyse and synthesise research outputs to uncover insights

Lead and mentor more junior designers

  • Use your process mastery and strategic thinking to set up projects for success
  • Delegate detailed design and research tasks that challenge your peers to grow and develop, and frees up your time for higher level thinking
  • Act as a review point in the UX/UI workflow on certain projects and give constructive feedback on where your colleagues could improve their deliverables
  • Help improve the quality of our work through templates and processes
  • Collaborate with the team around you and ensure everyone has an equal voice at the table
  • Share your knowledge and experiences to empower the team and help them grow

Lead the conversation with clients and stakeholders

  • Work with project managers to prepare status updates and share these with clients
  • Organise and run meetings with stakeholders when necessary
  • Show off your thought process with data-backed insights, best practices and clear rationale

Ongoing:

  • Lead the UX/UI design for this client, and for other projects where applicable
  • Validate early stage product / business ideas, design concepts, identify opportunities and contribute to proposals
  • Wear your productivity hat and evolve our UX/UI processes to be more efficient and effective
  • Product strategy - continually review our backlog and prioritise based on a cohesive strategy
  • Bring your experience to the table with estimations, budgets and timelines
  • Buddy up and share your UX/UI design superpowers with the team (Hey, Friend!)
  • Join forces and collaborate with the wider team, including Creative, Tech, Product and Marketing

What you want

  • To share your UX/UI folio that showcases your process and projects
  • To be an integral part of an innovative design and marketing agency/product incubator with a great team (that’s us, BTW)
  • Growth. You want access to senior mentorship, lead bigger initiatives, shape the path for juniors, and put your skills to the test across a broad range of projects and industries? You’ve got it, along with the support to succeed
  • Hybrid, flexibility and a competitive package
  • Fun, casual, energy rich, culturally diverse, and COVID-safe creative workspace in the heart of Sydney CBD
  • 4 week work from anywhere policy!!
  • An opportunity to push the envelope, safely make mistakes, and learn from them
  • Gadgets & Merch!! MacBook, accessories, and other DIJGTAL goodies
  • An equal opportunity employer: We value diversity and we are committed to providing an inclusive, collaborative working environment
