We have an immediate opening for a Logistics Coordinator in our Healthcare Division in Vinton, VA.

This position requires travel to our customer location to assist with coordination of shipments, conducting daily check calls with drivers and receiving orders over the phone from customers. The ideal candidate has experience with updating and maintaining logistics software, schedule coordination and dispatching orders.

This position requires on-site presence at our customer location.

LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED. NO RELOCATION PACKAGE.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (The below listed duties are not all inclusive. This position must also perform other duties as assigned.):

• Conduct daily check calls from drivers.

• Receive orders over the phone from Customers.

• Ensure all next day orders are set up with drivers.

• Daily quoting, management, and coordination of shipments

• Establish and coordinate schedule with carrier and tender shipments.

• Enter/Dispatch/Update/Close orders in the system.

• Audit/Reconcile daily driver paperwork.

• Track and trace all shipments.

• Confirm rates with carriers.

• Evaluate shipments, consolidate loads, and select the most cost-effective method of delivery.

• Prepare export and commercial documents.

• Update and maintain logistics software.

• Proactively identify problems and swiftly implement appropriate solutions.

• Answer and resolve billing questions when needed.

• Daily communications with customers on relevant issues and resolution.

• Any additional duties and/or projects as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Previous experience as Logistics Coordinator in the transportation, logistics and/or supply chain environment.

• Proficient with MS Office suite.

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Reliable transportation to travel to customer location.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
