Job Summary:

The Buyer II role is part of the purchasing team. The team is responsible for selecting and purchasing quality products for the business and the Buyer II role is responsible for a subset of those parts. The responsibilities will include processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, tracking order delivery, and ensuring supplier quality is maintained.

Essential Functions:

• Analyze inventory levels and forecasts to properly source sales and manufacturing demand.
• Obtain quotations, examine bids and negotiate price.
• Interact with suppliers ensure both on-time delivery and the best market price.
• Handle sensitive or classified materials and information in confidence.
• Conduct quarterly supplier reviews.
• Maintain procurement records, reports and metrics.
• Network and negotiate with suppliers for competitive pricing.
• Prepare clear and concise reports and correspondence.
• Maintain and handle issues involving HTS and USMCA.
• Manage foreign import/export via containers and LCL.
• Prepare and submit import declarations and other required documents to customs authorities.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Business or Supply Chain and 5 years purchasing experience
• Experience with import buying and customs, tariff, and international freight compliance
• Previous experience working in an ERP/MRP environment
• Mechanical knowledge preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
