Job Description:
Our client in Sanborn, NY is seeking a skilled Pipe Welder to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding various types of pipes, including stainless steel, carbon steel, and other alloys. The Pipe Welder will be responsible for accurately welding pipes according to specifications and blueprints, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with safety standards.

This is an onsite/ full-time/permanent position
Hourly based on experience: $20-$27/hr

Responsibilities:

• Perform pipe welding tasks using various welding techniques such as TIG, MIG, and Stick welding.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the appropriate welding process.
• Select and prepare welding equipment and tools necessary for each job.
• Clean and prepare surfaces to be welded, ensuring proper fit-up and alignment of pipes.
• Weld pipes in various positions, including horizontal, vertical, and overhead.
• Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality and welding code standards.
• Conduct repairs and modifications to welded pipes as needed.
• Adhere to safety procedures and regulations at all times.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in good condition.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently and on time.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Pipe Welder or similar role.
• Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and Stick welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Familiarity with various types of pipes and welding materials.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Welding certification (e.g., AWS, ASME) is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is preferred.
