This role will be located offsite from the Collision Center at a Dimmitt Automotive Group Dealership location in Clearwater, FL.

The Collision Center Estimator helps ensure the overall efficiency, profitability, and reputation of our Collision Center operations by providing timely and accurate estimates for repair work. He or she documents estimates and the necessary repair work according to established industry standards and insurance company regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares estimates for repair work according to dealership, insurance company, and industry standards
• Oversees delivery of repairs and manages customer expectations
• Calculates labor and painting costs to determine the total cost of repairs
• Assigns repair orders to Collision Center team members based on the shop schedule and on the availability and specialty of technicians
• Complete the parts order sheet for all orders, investigates alternative sources for hard-to-locate parts, and checks parts when ordered
• Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
• Maintains work area in a neat and organized manner
• Follows all safety policies and procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some post high school education or training preferred
• At least one year experience as a dealership estimator
• Certification or designation in the field of automotive repair a plus
• Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
• Strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task and manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient computer and internet skills
