Job Summary:

As an Oracle DBA with AWS experience at DDC - Source, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency, security, and optimal performance of our database systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain Oracle databases hosted on AWS infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Oracle database administration, coupled with hands-on experience in managing databases in AWS cloud environments.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides technical direction on integration of MROi solution components with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (aka OCI), DISA and ERP Common Services. As directed and approved by the MROi PM and/or Chief Engineer, the SME personnel may be utilized to support other AFLCMC/PEO BES programs/systems.

Installation, cloning, configuration and integration of Oracle E-Business Suite (eBS) 12.2 with Oracle RDBMS 12c/19c, technical stack and custom-developed objects; monitor and troubleshoot and optimize the eBS application/database.

Environment builds, upgrades, CPUs, and maintenance of most recent versions of Oracle eBS and Databases

Provides support to the MROi System Implementer, MROi Integrated Program Office (IPO) and other AFLCMC/PEO BES programs as directed and approved by the MROi PM and/or Chief Engineer, relating to the architecture, design, installation, configuration, integration of products and services, performance and operations of the MROi software solution components

Assists ERP Common Services, PMO architects, System Implementer and PMO developers to instantiate and maintain multiple eBS instances and applicable technology stack components in all DISA environments (development, test, training, reporting and production).

Provides guidance to the PMO on architectural decisions that have impact to the performance and scalability of the solution.

System monitoring, performance tuning, load balancing and capacity planning

Tracking and monitoring the development, test, training, reporting and production environments, support issue resolution

Define operational procedures and create system documentation (CDRLs, SOPs etc)

Implementation and maintenance of application and database security

Interface with Oracle Support for technical issue resolution

Design and architecture reviews from a performance engineering perspective

Development and execution of performance tests and benchmarks

Assist development and support staff with analysis of query execution plans and cost

Recommend methods to optimize performance

Establishes application and database performance best practices for the program to build into their designs.

Leads the various teams on how to identify application performance bottlenecks, how to gather and interpret diagnostics, techniques to diagnose the problem and makes recommendations on how best to resolve the performance issue.

Experience around the change management process.

Work with Team of Oracle Application DBAs to support MROi user community.

Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

DoD 8570 certification (typically Security CE, CASP, CISSP)

Must be US Citizen

BS/BA in Information Technology or related technical discipline

5 years’ experience within Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) R12.2 application environment both Technical and System Administrator Responsibilities.

Database 12c/19c (Installation, Cloning, configuration, upgrade and patching)

Working experience in Linux and/or Solaris

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with the US Air Force

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Associate/Advanced level certification will be a big plus

Oracle Database 12c Certified Professional Certification

Oracle E-Business Suite Certification

Knowledge of Oracle RAC, RMAN

Experience in Middleware for Oracle Fusion, Oracle Identity and Access Management, Oracle SOA, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Application Express (APEX)

Experience in DevSecOps tools like Jenkins, BitBucket, and Ansible

Experience working with virtual, blended and separate subcontractor teams

Knowledge of private or public cloud technology.
