POSITION ORIENTATION - AUGUST 13 - FIRST DAY WITH STUDENTS - AUGUST 14 MULTIPLE ASSISTANTS NEEDED Job Summary Supervise students (PK/Montessori-Grade 8) between the hours of 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm Essential Duties
Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school
Supports and adheres to the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of the school and Diocese
Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters
Supervises children for safety and appropriate behavior
Assists students in supervised activities
Provides guidance to students on following school rules while in the Extended Day Program
Demonstrates a willingness to respond to individual student need
Assists the coordinator with positive behavioral management procedures
Assist the coordinator with maintaining record of all student and parent sign in and out
Assists with proper use of equipment, grounds, and buildings
Knows all emergency procedures including location of emergency phone numbers and building evacuation procedures
Collaborates with peers to enhance the work environment and support the Extended Day Program
Communicates effectively with students, parents, and other professionals
Communicates with the Extended Day Coordinator about any problems or concerns
Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits
Follows direction and handles multiple tasks
Performs other duties as assigned by the Extended Day Program Coordinator

Minimum Qualifications Education:
High school diploma
Certifications and Training:
Must submit an Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) Application for Ministry within the first week of employment, participate in an EIM Basic abuse prevention training workshop within 60 days of submitting a complete Application for Ministry, and maintain EIM compliance during the entire term of employment.
