Ministerial Character
Positions employed at St. Louis help to extend the ministry of the Pastor in particular ways as outlined in the job description. Employees help the Pastor with the vision of the parish. Our vision is to be a shining light of Catholic thought and action, lived out through our parish and school, as an example to all in the Diocese of Austin and the State of Texas, exhibiting integrity in all that we do as we serve Jesus Christ. Therefore, the employee in this position is closely connected to and assists the Pastor in performing his/her ministry and engages in ministry for the Church.
Job Summary
The Liturgy Coordinator at St. Louis fulfills the mission of the church by providing organizational and musical support for the pastor within the framework of the parish's philosophy, organization, and policies. The Liturgy Coordinator aids the pastor by coordinating Sundays and principal liturgical feasts of the parish's liturgical life, working as the primary point of liturgical organization and communication between the priests, office staff, and key liturgical volunteers. This position aims to ensure the best possible Sunday experience through healthy administrative organization and communication. The Liturgy Coordinator has decision-making responsibilities within essential job functions, in keeping with parish policies. The pastor hires and evaluates the position.
