Job SummaryThe Liturgy Coordinator at St. Louis fulfills the mission of the church by providing organizational and musical support for the pastor within the framework of the parish's philosophy, organization, and policies. The Liturgy Coordinator aids the pastor by coordinating Sundays and principal liturgical feasts of the parish's liturgical life, working as the primary point of liturgical organization and communication between the priests, office staff, and key liturgical volunteers. This position aims to ensure the best possible Sunday experience through healthy administrative organization and communication. The Liturgy Coordinator has decision-making responsibilities within essential job functions, in keeping with parish policies. The pastor hires and evaluates the position. Essential Duties
Supports and upholds the philosophy and the mission of the Parish
Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
Supports and adheres to the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of the parish and Diocese
Communicate with the EIM site administrator to ensure all necessary volunteers and music ministry personnel are EIM compliant.
Schedules volunteers for Sunday and primary solemnities of the liturgical year. This is done primarily through Ministry Scheduler Pro.
Facilitates healthy communication and coordination between volunteers and parish administration regarding liturgical celebrations
Facilitates and leads the liturgy committee for monthly advance planning meetings
Regularly communicates with Pastor and associate pastors
Helps recruit and train new liturgical volunteers
Coordinates with parish office manager and director of operations for any liturgical purchasing needs
Acts as the primary point of contact for parish altar society, collaborating to ensure parish liturgical space is well appointed, cleaned, and prepared for liturgical celebrations.
Leads and helps coordinate volunteers for the decorating of the church for principal celebrations and seasonal decorating shifts

EducationMinimum QualificationsBachelor or equivalent training ExperienceMin 2 years admin experience Certifications And Training
Must submit an Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) Application for Ministry within the first week of employment, participate in an EIM Basic abuse prevention training workshop within 60 days of submitting a complete Application for Ministry, and maintain EIM compliance during the entire term of employment.
