Primary Function: Under the direction of Director, is responsible the full range of functions in an Early Learning Center. Responsibility is fully delegated by the director, typically in the areas of registration, purchasing, classroom/parent communications,
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports the ELC’s spiritual and pastoral mission
- Shall abide by Catholic principles in the teacher’s professional and private life and shall govern his/her professional and private life in strict accordance with Catholic morals and principles to demonstrate complete adherence to Catholic moral structures.
- Works collaboratively and displays a positive, friendly, and professional manner with all employees and ELC families; welcome them to the ELC community.
- Manages student registration; explanation of tuition; review of student records, transcripts, monitor attendance.
- Coordinates marketing and social media with the Public Relations coordinator to positively promote the ELC.
- Maintains and respects the privacy of the persons supported
- Schedule and give classroom tours. Be knowledgeable of the ELC’s philosophy and history. Be familiar with topics such as academics, class schedules, class size; be able to answer parent questions.
- Receives and processes student applications and student withdrawals; ensure maintenance of student applications; Maintain and update information in student information system
- Assists in the functions of registration to include the ongoing registration of new students
- Works closely with the ELC finance department with regards to registration, tuition commitment and financial aid.
- Works closely with teachers to help with the new student transition.
- Answers and handles incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Accurately and on a timely basis, handles correspondence; maintains files and other student-related documentation
- Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Must have a working knowledge of, and a strong commitment to the mission of the Diocese and a Catholic ELC; a practicing Roman Catholic in full communion with the Church preferred.
- Must have excellent communications skills, verbal and written, excellent human relations and interpersonal skills
- Ability to exercise courtesy to fellow employees, families, and the public
- Must be a self-starter, well organized and able to handle multiple tasks
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; punctuality is a must at all times.
- Proficiency in computer technology to include word-processing and spreadsheets, minimum typing skills of 40 WPM
- Professional bearing; clean and neat personal appearance
- Ability to successfully complete a criminal history and background check
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, vendors, employees and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
