Job Summary:

Reporting to the CEO, and leading a team of sales professionals, the Head of Sales leads all sales, customer service, business development and key account management activities in North America. They are also responsible for managing the relationships with and performance of our outside manufacturer sales representative agencies. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth by cultivating and managing relationships with existing clients and new business opportunities. The role requires a strategic and results-oriented person with a proven track record in sales, a deep understanding of the industry, and the ability to manage a team to deliver success.

Responsibilities:

· Hire, train, and develop sales area managers, inside sales representatives, and customer service; set clear performance expectations and goals; provide coaching and mentoring; manage schedules and workload.

· Drive the team to meet or exceed sales targets. Using a CRM system, hold sales team accountable to activity related goals and KPI’s.

· Develop and implement sales strategies; set sales targets; manage forecasts; identify market trends and opportunities.

· Work with Sales Area Managers, manage and motivate a national team of Manufacturer’s Representatives organizations.

· Stay informed on market and competitive trends. Guide company sales strategy regarding target markets and applicable products.

· with marketing to develop supporting materials.

· Provide ongoing training; update the team on product and industry trends.

· Build and maintain strong relationships; assist in sales negotiations; ensure customer satisfaction. Serve as escalation point for customer related issues.

· Design efficient sales processes; implement best practices; streamline workflows.

· Analyze sales data; generate performance reports; use data to refine sales strategies.

· Implement and ensure proficiency in sales technologies.

· Manage the team's budget.

· Facilitate communication with other departments and senior management.

· Address team conflicts and challenges.

· Ensure legal and ethical sales practices.

Experience and Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field

· Proven leadership experience overseeing a Sales Team that exceeds quota

· Results-driven with focus on exceeding sales targets.

· Strong understanding of the industry and overall market.

· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Can-do attitude; self-starter.

· Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

· Ability to work and collaborate across departments and functions.

· Ability and willingness to travel to conferences and customer sites.

Compensation/Culture

DIRAK provides a comprehensive compensation package, with a competitive salary based on experience and excellent benefits that include: generous health insurance offerings, 401k matching (and profit sharing), over 5 weeks PTO on day 1--in addition to holidays and short hours on Fridays--and a casual work environment. Our North American office is a fairly small team, which allows significant freedom in what you do and how you do it. Our organization is not ideal for someone who needs to be micromanaged.

We fully transitioned to a hybrid work environment in 2020. While there will be some days on-site work will be required, most days are up to each employee to determine the best place for them to effectively manage their responsibilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
