Job Description: Sales & Project Manager, South East

Reports To: Executive VP of Business Development

Position Overview:

Direct Shades and Blinds is seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales & Project Manager for the South East region to support our Executive VP of Business Development. This role will play a crucial part in driving sales initiatives, coordinating with the sales team, and ensuring the smooth operation of the business development department. Additionally, the Sales & Project Manager will manage projects in the South East region, overseeing project timelines, budgets, and client relations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Activities:

- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets for the South East region.

- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and cold calling.

- Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients by providing excellent customer service and tailored solutions.

- Conduct product presentations, negotiate contracts, and close sales deals.

- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies accordingly.

- Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote Direct Shades and Blinds and generate new leads.

2. Estimating Team Collaboration:

- Work directly with the estimating team to gather and analyze data for accurate project pricing.

- Assist in preparing detailed estimates and quotations for clients based on project requirements.

- Coordinate with the estimating team to ensure timely completion of estimates and proposals.

3. Mill Supplier Relations:

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with our mill supplier to ensure timely delivery of products and materials.

- Coordinate with the mill supplier to manage inventory levels, product availability, and order fulfillment.

- Assist in negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts with the mill supplier to optimize cost savings and quality.

4. **Project Management for the South East:**

- Oversee and manage projects in the South East region from initiation to completion.

- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.

- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.

- Work directly with General Contractors (GCs) to ensure projects run smoothly and on time according to customer schedules.

- Monitor project progress, address any issues or delays, and provide regular updates to the Executive VP.

- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards throughout project execution.

5. Customer Relations:

- Respond to customer inquiries and provide product information and pricing.

- Assist in resolving customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.

- Coordinate with the customer service team to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

6. Team Collaboration:

- Collaborate with the marketing, product, and operations teams to support sales initiatives, estimating processes, and campaigns.

- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and workshops to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual - English / Spanish
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Preferred 

- 5-7 years of experience in sales, business development, estimating, or customer service.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.

- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

- Experience in project management, particularly in the South East region, is a plus.
