OVERVIEW

People and culture are key to the success of our dynamic DTC wine marketing organization. Our HR team is committed to fostering a supportive and engaging work environment, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across all HR functions.

We are seeking an experienced part-time HR professional to join our team temporarily, covering for a maternity leave from August to December.

The ideal candidate would be available to work our designated in-office days of Wednesdays and Thursdays in our Norwalk, CT office.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Employee Relations : Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR policies and procedures. Manage employee relations and performance management issues.
• Terminations : Handle involuntary and voluntary separations with sensitivity and professionalism.
• Visa Management : Oversee visa applications, renewals, and compliance alongside an external immigration attorney.
• Team Support : Support and oversee team’s HR Generalist and Payroll Specialist.
• People Events : Organize and maintain employee communication and engagement activities calendar.
• Benefits & Wellness : Address and resolve employee inquiries related to benefits, ensuring clear communication and timely responses.

Help support company health and wellness program with HR Generalist.

• Employee Leaves : Manage and oversee employee leaves, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Ad-hoc : Assist the COO and HR team with ad-hoc projects and requests.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (required)
• Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supporting payroll and general HR inquiries.
• Familiarity with ADP (a plus).
• High level of professional integrity as well as strong business acumen and decision quality.
